Summer Hockey Notices – Week 6

Hi All

Two weeks left now!! Please read the below carefully just so we can plan ahead to the final week.

Final Week Break-ups:

Firstly, this relates to the final week of the 5^th and 6^th of December, not the games next week.

As mentioned last week, we usually have a get-together after the final game with some food and drink (everyone to bring 1 plate) on the grassy side of Nunweek 1. This has traditionally been easy to organise as we have only ever entered Tuesday teams. However, as we have Monday and Tuesday teams, this will take more effort to organise (should the teams wish to do it) and I will need assistance from parents. I propose this could work as follows:

Monday (5^th of December) – the Lynx play their final game from 5-5:30pm and the Makos and Blitz play their final game from 5:30-6pm. So either the Lynx could either have their own wee break-up after their final game and the Blitz and Makos have a combined one at 6pm. Or the Lynx hang around and you have a combined one at 6pm. Or the teams may decide you don’t want to have one at all! Regardless, I need some feedback from parents as what you would like to do please – it won’t happen at all unless I get feedback and suggestions?

Tuesday (6^th of December) – this will be easier to sort. The Shakers have their last game from 4-4:30pm. Therefore they can have their own wee breakup after the last game – exactly the same as they did last year – parents may need to organise this as I may need Hugh to coach at 4:30pm. Tigers, Panthers, Jaguars and Dragons all play their last game from 4:30-5pm so we will have a combined get-together. I have had a suggestion that everyone could bring a present (with a $$ limit) that could go into a “Santa sack” for everyone to draw out of as a quick fun activity. If people are keen for this, please let me know.

Tuesday:

Avon/St. Michael’s Shakers vs St Albans Super Sticks; 4pm, Nunweek Park 1 North A
