CPL Preview 9/7/16

This weekend H & B Avon take on Marist in a crucial match. Marist sit a mere one point below Avon and a win for us would work to solidify a top 4 spot. The Eels are coming off a bye so will need to be on form to get their 3 points this weekend. Their last game resulted in a 2-2 draw with the Burnside Babes, a match that could have gone either way.

Sarah Walcott and Libby Bird have been on great form since their selection into the Canterbury Cats Squad, however spectators will be lucky to see their fellow squad member Jackie Eden in action on Saturday after an incident at training.

The Eels are pretty short numbered yet again- Zoe Merrick is still away in America chasing her man Donald Trump, and Kizz Brown is still sidelined and stuck on snapchat duty. HOwever, she’ll have some company as Olivia Amey has also joined the injury club after going too hard on a trampoline.

This late game against Marist will be a test for Avon, as they struggled to score at their last meeting. Hopefully the Eels can perform well and lock in 3 more points.
